Scott Walton

Director of Audio Visual Ministries

Scott Walton is our Director of Audio Visual Ministries. He leads the team who provide audio, video, multimedia and lighting support for all Sunday worship services and the many meetings and special events held on the church campus. He also serves on the Worship Design Team, helping to plan and implement the multimedia elements which are increasingly used in Sunday services.

Scott has been involved with the creation and presentation of audio and visual material since high school in Columbus, Ohio. After earning a B.A. in Photography from the Ohio State University he spent ten years as a commercial photographer. Scott has been privileged to photograph the President and Vice President of the United States as well as many celebrities from the worlds of both entertainment and politics. He also served five years as the chief sound engineer with a contemporary Christian band touring regionally in the Midwest, and in that capacity worked with many well known recording artists such as Leon Patillo, Russ Taff, Whiteheart and the Charlie Daniels Band. Scott also graduated from The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio where he received certification as a studio recording engineer. Scott has always served as a church sound tech and was the volunteer head of the FUMC Niceville sound ministry for five years prior to accepting the full time Director position.

When he's not working, Scott finds time to pursue the award winning landscape photography for which he is known locally and regionally. Scott is married to Lynn who works as a Java programmer. They raise Shetland Sheepdogs and enjoy the more relaxed pace of life and warmer temperatures of the Florida Panhandle.
