Lisa Ausley

Deacon in Residence

Lisa Ausley, our senior pastor's wife of twenty-five years and "teacher in residence" at First United Methodist Church of Niceville, is an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church.

Lisa is a graduate of Asbury College (B.S. in education) and Asbury Theological Seminary (Masters of Religion in Biblical Literature), Wilmore, KY.

Lisa serves FUMC and other churches in the Alabama-West Florida Conference as a resource person for retreats, conferences and pulpit supply, and has been published in over a dozen Christian magazines. Lisa serves on the Board of Directors of OMS International, a mission-sending agency in the Wesleyan tradition, and has herself served on mission fields in Colombia, Mexico, Spain and Costa Rica.

Lisa is co-author and homeschooling mother of three sons: Matthew, a young businessman in Atlanta; Andrew, an engineering student at Georgia Tech and Luke, the history buff and Bible scholar in the family.
