Welcome

Welcome to the Active Adults 50 Plus Ministry of the Niceville United Methodist Church. We warmly welcome you to participate in our activities and programs, as we seek to grow in our love for and obedience to Jesus and in our fellowship with one another. We invite you to join in these opportunities to fellowship, grow and serve. Please call me or stop by the ministry office (Room 704, first floor of the Chandler Building) for a visit if you have any questions!

Highlighted Events:

  • Don Edwards, America’s Cowboy Balladeer – In concert, February 3 at FUMC Ft. Walton Beach. Cost: $15. For more information about this Grammy nominated songster, check out his website: http://www.somagency.com/donedwards/ Cost: $15. Depart at 6:30 p.m. Please also check out the other concerts offered in February.
  • LUNCH and MORE – February 23, Departing at 8:50 a.m., we will first tour the Indian Temple Mound in Ft. Walton Beach, then have lunch (Dutch treat) at the Olive Garden. Cost: $2.
  • Inspirit Retreat – Thursday, April 12 (2:00 p.m.) – Saturday, April 14 (2:00 p.m.). Cost: $120.00 includes transportation, meals, room (double occupancy) and program. This retreat is held on the beautiful grounds of Blue Lake Camp, but we are not camping... we will enjoy hotel type rooms with private bath and heat or a/c controlled in the room. The theme for this year’s retreat is "Hurray for the Red, White, and Blue". So many wonderful activities to include: field trip to see rare pitcher plants in a nearby bog, inspiring and informative speakers, great music (to include our own Niceville M & M Choir and also, The Wesley Boys), Hand Crank organ concert, Veteran recognition, games, and a talent show….and MORE! You will enjoy warm fellowship, great food and a program so varied there truly is something for everyone. Sign up by March 28 with me, so I'll save you a seat on the bus!   • Do you know about Game Day? Tuesdays and Fridays, 12:30–4:00 p.m., Middle School area. There are openings for players of pinochle, mahjong, scrabble, and bridge. Or, we would be happy to begin other games, too! Contact John Sullivan, 678-1287, jps2413@aol.com to join the fun and bring a friend with you! Please contact John prior to attending, as games are scheduled in advance according to participation.
