Brice has been serving as the Director of Recreation at the Community Life Center since October 2003. In May of 2004 he was married in Destin on the beach to his beautiful bride Jordin. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Williams Baptist College, a Master of Arts degree in History from Arkansas State University, and has completed his course work for his Doctorate of Philosophy degree from the University of Arkansas. He has also completed continuing graduate work from the University of North Texas and Golden Gate Seminary.
Brice accepted Christ at age 8 at a church camp for boys in South Dakota. Working in recreation for approximately 12 years, Brice has led several successful recreation, education, and student ministry programs. He grew up in the West and has served on church staffs in Missouri, Arkansas, Virginia, Illinois, and now Florida. Brice loves to speak, and enjoys teaching a small group bible study and an occasional class at the local college. In his spare time he loves to travel, snow ski/board, hit the beach, snorkel, rock climb, kayak, play with his dog, teach college classes, build things, and watch reruns of Seinfeld.
Hi! My name is Cindy Schroeder and I am currently the Assistant Recreation Director here at the Community Life Center. I was raised in Falls Church Virginia and attended West Chester State College, Pennsylvania. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. I married a military man, Paul Schroeder and for the next 22 years traveled the world. I have taught at 11 schools to include: Dept. of Defense, public, private, preschools, and Okaloosa County Schools. Paul and I have been married 27 years and have 3 children, Kyle, Rebecca , and Sarah.

It's hard to believe, but I have been certified and have been teaching classes for 25 years! (I was first certified when I turned 15 years old). I am certified in Group Fitness and Personal Training through AFAA. I am also Spin Certified through Johnny G (Mad Dogg Athletics). I have taught all ages from 3 to 83!

Selman was born in Montgomery, Alabama August
8, 1944 and spent most of his childhood
in Defuniak Springs, Florida. He is married
to Pam Ellisor, our minister to Single Adults,
and together they have four wonderful children
and four precious grandchildren. Selman
continues to enjoy the outdoors with boating,
camping, fishing, and taking pictures of
the “big one that didn’t get away”, on his
camera phone! He serves the Lord as a team
teacher for the Singles Sunday school Class,
and he facilitates singles small groups
and activities as needed. His love for the
Lord is evidenced by his sweet, gentle spirit,
his love for people, and his committed service
to God through our church.

was born on 8-19-45 in Shreveport, LA, and
have been married to Jan almost 12 years.
We have 1 son, 1 daughter, 2 grand-children,
1 step-son, and 1 step daughter. I received
a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master
of Music. I enjoy flying, running, teaching
Body Recall, teaching music, general fitness
activities, camping, and being outside. I
recently came out of retirement to teach music
at Niceville High School--and like it! If

Donald Pendergraft

Originally from North Carolina, Mr. Pendergraft is a 10 year resident of Niceville Fl and a member of First United Methodist Church Niceville. A retired military officer, Donald began his Hapkido training late in life, and now continues to train under Master Kennith Martin. Donald has served on the FUMC administrative board, as an upward basketball commissioner, in the parking ministry of FUMC, and is a certified Emergency Medical Technician. He has achieved the rank of 1st Dan (Black Belt) and now serves as the primary Hapkido instructor.

Nicole has been working at the Community Life Center and First United Methodist Church for four years. Her husband and four children keep her busy when she is not at the Welcome Desk. Hobbies include reading, computers and playing on the beach with her kids.
Marion Taylor

Marion joined the recreation staff in May of 2007. She was born in Maryland, lived in Massachusetts and moved to Fort Walton Beach when she was in the 6th grade. She attended college at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and earned a degree in Journalism. Marion is married to Ron and has two children, Mimi and Campbell. They have a dog, Garnet, two Beta fish, and a hamster named Twinkle. Marion oversees the Adult Sports, Staff Fitness, helps in all areas of Upward, and assists at the Welcome Center.
Dana Topel

Dana began working part-time at the Community Life Center in October of 2007. She has been happily married to Eric since 1994 and is busy being mom to Heath and Jaxon. You will find her working with the Upward programs and at the Welcome Center Desk.
Kennie and Dave Underwood
Coordinators Agape Squares is a Modern Square Dance outreach activity.
The club is a member of the Northwest Florida Square and Round Dance
Association (NFSRDA). David and Kennie Underwood are the Club Presidents and have been square dancing since 1975.
Kennie and Dave saw the potential for developing an outreach to the community through Square Dancing
in 2003 using the Community Life Center's facilities. After approval of the church leadership,
they have been faithfully offering lessons to the community and supporting the Club's 26 members and
numerous winter visitors from outside our area ranging from from Minnesota to Ohio and two Canada Provinces.
Our Caller is Berlon Graham of Shalimar. Berlon has been calling for the square dancing community since 1965.
He is a member of the national Caller Lab and the Northwest Florida Callers Association.
He holds a performance license from Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) and the American Society of Composers, Artists, and Publishers (ASCAP).
Berlon is dedicated to teaching Christian youth modern square dancing across the South along with supporting Agape Squares.

Assembled a collection of historically significant instruments indicative of the evolution in dulcimer construction.
