Operation Christmas Child

Collelction Sunday for Operation Christmas Child's Annual Shoebox Ministry will be Sunday, November 20, 2005, but you can bring your filled shoeboxes to the Gathering Area or to the Community Life Center anytime during the week of November 14-19.

Creating a Shoebox Gift is as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Fill a standard-size shoebox with new clothing, hygiene items, toys and games, hard candy or gum for a boy or girl ages 2-4; 5-9; or 10-14. (Please not toys of war/violence, no liquids and no chocolate). Plastic shoeboxes are preferred since they can be used to carry water or used for storage.
  2. Place a $5 tax-deductible check made payable to Samaritan’s Purse inside the box to help with a portion of shipping and handling costs;
  3. Tape your label to the box lid and secure all with a heavy-duty rubber band. Wrapping is not necessary, but if you choose to do so, please wrap the lid separately from the box!
    Last year, FUMC members generously gave 745 boxes. To increase that total, we need your help! For information, contact Becky Tislow, 678-5077 after 5 p.m.

You may print your own Boy/Girl Labels for your shoeboxes if you don't have an Operation Christmas Child brochure.
