A Caring Community With a Global Vision to develop every person into a fully devoted follower of Christ

The Bargain Box

The Bargain Box was Bargain Boxopened in 1957 as a project of the Young Adult Sunday School class. The purpose of the venture was to help members of the community find used, but affordable items for their families; to finance needed furniture and appliances for the church parsonage; and to donate funds and clothing to other missionary work as the need was presented.

The number of Bargain Box volunteer workers has grown from six to over sixty. We honor all Sharing and Caring requests and any local church (Twin Cities area) benevolent requests.

During the past year, the Bargain Box Volunteer Committee has provided financial support to missions in the Middle East, Africa, Mexico, Guatemala, Thailand, and Florida. The Bargain Box Volunteer has also provided financial support for Vacation Bible School scholarships, Upward Basketball Scholarships, and Sharing and Caring’s Tools for School.

The Bargain Box Ministry provides monthly financial support to Niceville FUMC Benevolence, Sharing and Caring, Supper On Saturday, Good News Prison and Jail Ministry, Christian Automotive Repair Service, and Children in Crisis.
