As a summer missions/outreach event, our Middle school and High schoolers participated in "Mission Okaloosa County" here locally, the week of July 5-10, 2010! The team had a home base in a Crestview church and traveled to work sites each day serving the Okaloosa County community. Check out all the projects they accomplished as they served our local communities. This trip combined our mission team with a team of youth and adults from First United Methodist Church of Crestview. We had five crews working throughout the local community. One crew helped St. Mark United Methodist Church with their VBS program in the morning and then did odd and end projects in the afternoons including random acts of kindness and cooking and cleaning at our camp. One crew built bunk beds and dug ditches at a new Harvest Vineyard facility in Caryville. One crew worked in Niceville replacing stairs, deck and fencing around a home and doing landscaping work on the parsonage getting it ready for the arrival of our new Associate Pastor. Two crews worked at The Children’s Neighborhood. One crew gave the house parents a break for the week by making meals and doing projects with the children every day. The other crew completed landscaping projects around the homes including installing an irrigation system.
